15 months - 2 years

Our Sprout room has been designed to cater to children aged 15 months - 2 years. We recognised we needed a space for children who are no longer small babies but aren't quite toddlers. We transition the babies into this room once they are walking and communicating with gestures, clear babbling and singular words. Similar to the Seedling room, we have toys available at ground level and at standing height. There is lots of focus on singular word communication and following a one step instruction. The practitioners prepare lots of messy, sensory play to encourage exploration and wonder. The children also have access to role play stations, a reading area, maths activities and mark making.
